Lydia is one of those dogs that once you have met her you will never forget her, her comical and affectionate personality have not only made her the grande dame of Kentruth but also the class clown. This devil may care attitude has served her well.
Lyddie took to the coursing field as a veteran to earn her SC, running in both veteran and open stakes and is pointed. It saddened us to retire Lydia after she ran at the AWC 2009 National AKC Field Trial but felt it was the conservative thing to do with respect to her enjoying her golden years.
Personal health issues at the time prevented me from finishing Lydia's bench championship, however we feel blessed by the wonderful contribution she has made as a brood bitch.
Lydia, blessed us with two litters, from her first three have completed their AKC championships and a Canadian championship . Her second litter gave us a young male pointed from the puppy classes now only needing his majors to finish and a female who has already earned her CGC, a Field Championship with Multi- Best In Fields, an Advanced Rally title, and most recently her Companion Dog title all before the age of three.
Lydia's antics have continued well into her golden years, and we look to the day when she will learn to take life a bit slower. LIM

Barra is from our first whippet litter that we co-bred with Karen B. Lee of Surrey Hill Whippets. While pursuing points toward her championship, Barra has won and placed in specialty classes, a Best Puppy in Show, a Group Placement, multi- Best Bred-By Exhibitor Groups, plus Best of Breed from the classes over Multi Best in Show, Top Twenty Winning and National Futurity Winning competition along the way. After Barra earned her JC title, she chased the 'bunny' to earn her SC title and is pointed toward her Field Championship.
Her bubbly personality and the seemingly endless amounts of energy make Barra a joy to live with, and we hope that she will pass on these attributes along with her classic curvy outline when it is her turn in the whelping box. Barra was bred in 2009, be on the lookout for members of the Buffett Buffet in the show ring and on the field starting in 2010. LIM

Uma is our pick puppy from our first litter co-bred with Karen B. Lee of Surrey Hill Whippets. The litter-mates were named after fine single malt scotch whisky's, and we feel they are every bit as smooth.
Uma earned all of her championship points from the bred-by-exhibitor class and along the way, won or placed in specialty classes, she had a Best of Breed win over Multi-BIS & Top 20 competition for her first major, and we were delighted when she was awarded her second major by a breeder judge.
We look forward to occasionally showing her at specialty shows and at all-breed shows to judges who admired her on the way to her championship. Her first weekend out this spring with handler Cody (Temple) Flowers was rewarded with back-to-back Group II's. A mate has been chosen for Uma and we look forward to puppies in the summer of 2010. Nomad is from the repeat breeding of "The Single Malts" litter co-bred with Karen B. Lee of Surrey Hill Whippets. Nomad's daisy clipping gait, combined with his easy-going personality, have earned him with limited showing, points from the puppy classes along with a specialty sweepstake placement, and a Puppy Group win.
Though not fully mature, we reintroduced Nomad to the fancy this autumn at the American Whippet Club Southern Specialty and much to our delight Australian breeder-judge, Mrs. Nolene (Mollie) Rule-Steele awarded Nomad a first in the Bred-By-Exhibitor Class, a win I will always treasure. We plan to introduce Nomad to the joys of lure-coursing this fall and give him the winter to do some more growing-up in the meantime we will enjoy our morning walks and evening frisbee games along with his sweet nature.
