"Extended Family"
On this page you will find dogs that started life here at Kentruth, however they no longer live with us. We are happy to share in their successes with their owners, who have become our dear friends.

Their accomplishments have been in the show ring, on the race track, out on the coursing field, with appearances coming soon in the rally, obedience, and agility rings. Oh and lest I forget, some modeling on the side.LIM

"Maura"

Am & Can Ch Surrey Hill's Glenmorangie JC OTR TRP DPC

DC Surrey Hill's Pep Talk SC - Surreyhill Silkrock Lydia SC

Maura was the 'single malt' Karen Lee of Surrey Hill Whippets chose to keep from our first co-bred litter. She finished her American championship with 4 majors, two of which were awarded by breeder judges. A couple of weekend trips north of the border with Karen's breeder-handler friend Linda Buchholz gave Maura her Canadian championship points including a group placement.

Hopefully, Maura will be happy in her new career direction, obedience. We are always happy to hear about Maura brags from Karen and thank her for loving little Maurie-Me-Too! and we look forward to continued updates on her portion of this page. LIM

"Chai"

Multi-BIF
FC Kentruth Famous Grouse FCh CD RA SC CGC

DC Surrey Hill's Pep Talk SC - Surreyhill Silkrock Lydia SC

What can you say about a dog that enjoys the limelight, is highly trainable, and approaches each day like it is an extreme sport? That's Chai, loved by Ryan and Lisa Duffy of Springfield Massachusetts, Chai has earned her Canine Good Citizen title, and earned her Rally Novice title this spring in 3 trials with 3 placements. When the weather improved in the North-East Chai put in an appearance or two on the coursing field, earning her SC and much to our delight a couple of Best In Fields. Chai finished her AKC Field Championship with 3 majors, not quite 2 years of age. If all this isn't enough, she has somehow found time to be a photographer's model doing both catalogue and cover work for Clean Run Inc. We look forward to further reports from New England on the further (mis)adventures of Chai.

2009 started out on a high note for Chai, a 4th place at her first Obedience trial earned Chai her first leg toward her Companion Dog title. Not to be caught resting on their laurels, Chai and Lisa attended 3 more trials to and much to our delight Chai earned the remaining legs toward her Companion Dog title with another placement. Currently Chai and Lisa are working toward their debut in the Open ring and I'm sure they will show up on the Lure Coursing field once the weather improves in the NorthEast. We at Kentruth count ourselves lucky that Chai is with Ryan and Lisa, and look forward to bragging on her future accomplishments, and we are pretty sure there will be a few. LIM
